Battalion War Diary Extract
In May 1915, 25th Division had moved to Aldershot to begin its for final war training. Service rifles were received in August and early in September the Division was inspected by King George V. Shortly afterwards the Division was informed that it was to proceed overseas. Entrainment began on 25th September and on 30th September the Division had concentrated around Nieppe.
