Frank Hardy was on of eight brothers who served with the forces during World War 11. I wonder does this constitute a record? I have listed the names of my father's seven brothers.

Sgt. Frank Hardy - Manchester Regiment, killed in action May 22 at Dunkirk

Walter Davidson from Kirkoswald Cumberland, served with the 1st Border Regiment; was taken prisoner at Dunkirk and spent most of the rest of the war as a P.O.W

Cpl. Fred Hardy - Border Regiment - wounded at Dunkirk.

Capt. Joe Hardy - Border Regiment -served at Dunkirk, North Africa and Sciily, won the MC at Arnhem.

L/Cpl. Ron Hardy - Royal Engineers - landed Normandy on D.Day + 3 served the rest of the war in North West Europe.

L/Cpl. Jack Hardy - Royal Marines - served in Iceland, North Africa, Sicily, Italy and Malta. Wounded on D.Day and returned to serve the rest of the war in Northe West Europe.

Alan Hardy - Merchant Navy - served throughout the war mostly on oil tankers-was torpedoed three times.

Bombardier Ernest Hardy - Royal Artillery - served at Dunkirk, Malta and Gibraltar.
